WORCESTER Valkyries duo Bianca Blackburn and Lark Davies have been recalled to the England Women’s set up ahead of the Six Nations.

Scrum-half Blackburn and hooker Davies are among four new names added to the Old Mutual Wealth Series squad from the autumn, with Darlington Mowden Park Sharks’ Heather Kerr and Aylesford Bulls’ Leanne Riley also coming in.

They will join fellow Valkyries stars Rochelle Clark, Laura Keates and Lydia Thompson in head coach Simon Middleton’s 33-player party.

England begin their campaign against France at Twickenham on Saturday, February 4 (7.35pm) before switching their home games to the Twickenham Stoop where they will face Italy on Saturday, February 25 (1pm) and Scotland on Saturday, March 11 (1pm).

They travel to Cardiff Arms Park on Saturday, February 11 (11.30am) to face Wales before tackling Ireland in Dublin on Friday, March 17 (8pm).

Middleton said: “This is a huge year and we now have a squad training full time. Our preparation is based around a world-class programme and the Six Nations forms a key milestone ahead of the Women’s Rugby World Cup in August.

“There is strength and depth in this squad and, while we will be taking one week at a time and working to build through the tournament, our ambition is to win the Six Nations trophy.”
