POWERFUL back row Alafoti Fa’osiliva has signed a new deal at Worcester Warriors.

The Samoa international joined Warriors last summer and has made 15 appearances, bagging two tries.

Fa’osiliva said: “I am delighted to be staying at Sixways as I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the club. We are building a very good squad at Warriors and I am excited about the future.”

Fa’osiliva spent much of his early career on the international Sevens circuit and was part of the Samoa side which won the IRB Sevens World Series in 2009/10.

The 31-year-old then had a spell at European giants Toulon before spending three seasons with Bath.

Fa’osiliva has won 21 international caps for Samoa and made two appearances for his country at the 2015 World Cup.

Warriors director of rugby Gary Gold said: “Foti is someone who possesses huge power and the ability to break the gain-line so he is a fantastic player to have in our squad and we are delighted he will remain at Sixways next season.”
