TALENTED hooker Jack Singleton is poised to make his senior England debut against the Barbarians at Twickenham on Sunday (3pm).

The 21-year-old front row forward has been named in England's starting line-up for the Old Mutual Wealth Cup match.

It will cap a remarkable season for Singleton, who made his Aviva Premiership bow for Worcester against Northampton Saints in November.

Warriors lock Will Spencer has now been added to the match-day squad and could make his international debut.

Spencer was initially on the reserve list when the 23-man squad was unveiled this morning.

Spencer was one of Warriors' stand-out performers during the season after breaking into the first team after injury in December.

But versatile Worcester back Ryan Mills and tighthead prop Nick Schonert were not considered for England selection due to injury.

Mills has now been released from England’s camp.

England head coach Eddie Jones said: “I’m excited about this squad playing the Barbarians on Sunday.

"The players have trained really well with intensity over the last few weeks and now we need to put that onto the field this weekend.

“We will be treating this game as a Test match and expecting the Barbarians to start the game quickly.

"This match will be crucial preparation ahead of our two-Test series against Argentina next month."

Singleton made 20 first-team appearances for Warriors last term, including 10 in the Premiership.

Earlier this year, Singleton penned a professional deal with Worcester for next season.

He has previously starred at under 20s level for England and is among eight uncapped players inJones’ starting XV.

Singleton played rugby at Oaklands College and St Albans before joining Saracens' Academy set-up where he progressed from the under 16s right up to becoming captain of the under 18s.

Singleton also captained Oaklands College first-team and represented Hertfordshire at senior level.

He featured for Worcester Cavaliers in the 2014/15 campaign and was selected for England Under 18s.

After a spell at Saracens RFC in New Zealand in the summer of 2015, Singleton played his first senior game for Worcester in a pre-season fixture against Saracens.

The talented hooker became a regular for Worcester Cavaliers during the 2015/16 campaign while he was also dual-registered with Nottingham..

His form was rewarded with a call-up to the England Under 20s Six Nations squad where he stole the show against Italy with a four-try salvo as they triumphed 42-7.

Singleton continued to be a regular on the international stage, notching another try against France before helping England Under 20s to the World Rugby  Championship title in June 2016.

England’s Alex Goode and Steffon Armitage are in the Barbarians starting line-up facing their national side.

The Saracens full back and Pau flanker - five European Cup titles between them - are the English element in Vern Cotter’s cosmopolitan invitation outfit.

The former Scotland head coach has players from 11 different countries with 599 international appearances between them in the starting line-up led by France’s Thierry Dusautoir.

The Barbarians are facing England for the 16th time - England lead the series 8-7 - before taking on Ulster at the Kingspan Stadium in Belfast on June 1.
