INJURY-hit Worcester Warriors have received a double boost after hooker Jack Singleton and full-back Chris Pennell returned to training.

Director of rugby Gary Gold raised concerns over Singleton's fitness after the front rower was forced off with a shoulder problem in Worcester’s 41-10 defeat to Exeter Chiefs last Friday.

But Warriors confirmed Singleton was “fit and in training” as the Aviva Premiership outfit prepare for their match at Gloucester on Friday (7.45pm).

The 21-year-old will be vying for a starting place along with Pennell who is also raring to go after recovering from a quad injury.

Pennell has not played this term and failed to make an appearance in any of Warriors’ pre-season friendlies due to an injury-hit summer.
