CHRISTIAN Scotland-Williamson has joined the Pittsburgh Steelers as part of the NFL’s International Player Pathway program.

The ex-Worcester Warriors forward is among four overseas players to land NFL practice squad spots in NFC South ahead of the new season.

Scotland-Williamson will attempt to play tight end after making the switch from rugby union.

The 24-year-old made 23 appearances for Warriors before leaving the club in late December to pursue a career in American football in the USA.

Since then Scotland-Williamson, who stands at 6ft 9in, has spent the last few months working with NFL coaches in hope of earning a place on an NFL team roster for the 2018 season.
