Hill optimistic Mullan will stay

WARRIORS chief Richard Hill is cautiously optimistic sought-after prop Matt Mullan will commit his future to the Sixways club.

The out-of-contract England Saxons loosehead has been courted by a host of top Aviva Premiership sides and is without doubt one of the jewels in the Worcester crown.

However, head coach Hill believes Warriors’ on-field improvements this term, coupled with Mullan remaining on the England selectors’ radar, may be enough to persuade the homegrown front-rower to extend his contract.
