PERSONALLY, I was very pleased with the win over London Welsh.

We demonstrated just how far we have moved forward with some devastating attacking rugby and solid looking defence.

I am not overly concerned with the final 30 minutes as taking the foot off the gas is an easy problem to fix. We simply won’t do it in the playoffs.

Once again, our forwards dominated the opposition pack and provided us with an extremely good platform to play from.

It was a step up from the previous game in terms of physicality and a good test of what we can expect in the next couple of months.

Pat Sanderson had one of the best games I have seen him play in a Worcester jersey. Having him firing on all cylinders will only be a positive towards our promotion chances. Nine more games just like that, please Pat.

This solidity meant our half-backs could control the game and they did just that.

Jonny Arr showed his increasing maturity along side Andy Goode, who pulled all the right strings.

What also pleased me was how much work our back three put in. It is a big focus of ours to get their hands on the ball as much as possible and the line-breaks they made showed the plan working.

Marcel Garvey once again looked superb and his pace allows him to take advantage of the smallest gap.

The biggest negative was the loss of Kai Horstmann with a rib injury.

I am sure he will be back soon and raring to go in the play-offs.

On the positive side, the rest of us now have an easy nickname for him — McRib.

The majority of the squad has a light week leading up to our clash with the Bees and some tough physical testing next week.

As mentioned previously by Richard Hill, it is important to rotate at this late stage in order to prevent injury to key players.

It also means the rest of us have a chance to put ourselves strongly in Hilly’s thoughts for selection in the play-offs.

Dependant on everything going well this week, I am very excited about making my return against Bees.

My ankle is strong and I really just need to get back out there and get smashed a few times.

I am sure the Bees players will be queuing up to help with that one!

We should also see Matt Mullan make his first Championship appearance this season.

We are both hoping to make a big impact.

The Bees will certainly not be a straight-forward win. Knowing how they play, our defence will be put through its paces.

They are not afraid to throw the ball around and have the skills to back it up. Our patience in attack will also be tested as we know holes will appear as long as we control the ball and play on our terms.

It should be a good game but, for me, it’s the biggest game of the season. I hope to see you Saturday.
