A Taste of Worcestershire promises two fun-filled days out for the whole family. As well as browsing the exhibition stands and sampling the best food and drink from local producers, you’ll be able to get culinary tips from the experts during the regular cookery demonstrations. There will also be a fantastic Jazz Festival on the Saturday night, complete with refreshments.

COOKERY DEMONSTRATIONS

Taking place every hour, the cookery demonstrations will give visitors an insight into the work that goes into creating mouth-watering and award-winning dishes. Whether you’re a budding chef or a complete novice in the kitchen, you’re bound to pick up some useful tips!

SATURDAY

11am: Home Smoking & Curing

Brockencote Hall’s head chef Adam Brown and his team will show how to smoke your own duck and make homemade gravadlax.

Worcester News: alancoxon

12 noon: Alan Coxon

Alan Coxon www.alancoxon.com popular TV chef and “food archaeologist”, will give a demonstration of recipes from his latest TV series. Alan has created his own range of historic foods and recently won MBA Entrepreneur of the Year.

1pm: Shellfish & Seafood

Adam Brown and his team present a demonstration of delicious shellfish and seafood dishes.

2pm: Bread At Home

Janice Bell of Bread At Home will demonstrate how to make your own tasty bread.

3pm: Local & Foraged

Adam Brown and his team explain the importance of local produce and show you how to forage for food.

SUNDAY

As Saturday, except that ‘Local & Foraged’ will take place at 2pm, and there is no demonstration at 3pm.

JAZZ FESTIVAL

Jazz Festival Tickets Now SOLD OUT

On the evening of Saturday July 27, the surroundings of Brockencote Hall will be filled with sophisticated grooves.
Well-known jazz, blues and swing artists, including singers Sheila Waterfield and Jean Vincent and the Ralph Allin Quartet, will keep everyone entertained, while visitors can also enjoy refreshments such as hot food and real ales.

The doors open at 7pm, and the music and fun will continue until late.
