Antique and household furniture sales
We conduct regular antique and household furniture sales in our auction rooms in Tillington Road, Hereford.
Special Sales We arrange sales on premises including large country houses, industrial plant and machinery sites, market gardens and smallholdings. No job is too large or too small for our specialist auction team. We hold regular monthly sales and special sales as and when entries dictate. Our monthly sales are held on Monday evenings at our saleroom in Tillington Road. Lots are usually from local house clearances and include everything from antique furniture, ceramics, silver, jewellery, bric a brac, books, household furnishings and white goods to outside effects such as garden furniture, garden equipment, tools and machinery. We are open for receiving lots on Mondays & Tuesdays between 10.00am and 4.00pm and on other days by appointment. Sales commence at 5.00pm with viewing from 9.00am on that day.
Poultry market
We conduct weekly sales of poultry and equipment on Wednesdays at the New Market on the Roman Road, Hereford HR4 7AN and hold seasonal Rare and Pure Breed poultry auctions.
Our poultry sales are one of the few remaining weekly sales still operating in the UK.
Entries include poultry, keeping equipment and housing, hatching eggs (in season), chicks, poults and growers. A wide variety of point of lay and mature chickens of various breeds, ducks, geese and turkeys. We also have ornamental pigeons and game birds.
The sales are held every Wednesday at the New Market on the Roman Road Hereford HR4 7AN and commence at 10.00am The doors open at 6.30 am and vendors are advised to have their stock penned before 8.30am
Valuations
We are able to carry out professional valuations for probate, insurance
and family settlements. We also undertake detailed inventory work. We regularly carry out valuations of antiques, household furniture and other chattels for probate purposes, insurance and family settlements etc. We provide ingoing and outgoing valuations for many types of business. We supply detailed inventories of contents for residential lettings and similar needs.
