ITV1 show This Morning is to be broadcast seven days a week, it has been announced.
The flagship daytime show - hosted by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield - will soon start screening one-hour specials on Saturday and Sunday alongside the Monday to Friday shows.
The new programmes, which will begin from March 20, are being described as a "brand extension" which reflect the show's "enduring popularity".
Programmes will feature a round-up of some items shown during the week and Schofield and Willoughby will also record extra material for weekend viewers.
Karl Newton, executive producer at This Morning, said: "It's a very exciting time for us here at This Morning and this is a great natural progression for the show.
"We are thrilled that Phillip and Holly can host these one-hour shows - it opens the programme up to a whole new audience who may miss out during the week. It will also reflect viewers' thoughts as Phillip and Holly digest and comment on the huge amount of messages and calls we receive."
This Morning: Saturday will be screened at 12.10pm while This Morning: Sunday will begin at noon.
