A man walking a Staffordshire bull terrier and drinking a can of lager assaulted a boy who him asked for his ball back.

A group of teenagers were playing football in St Georges Park, Kidderminster, when the ball went astray.

A 16 year-old boy approached the man and asked him for his ball back, when he became abusive and grabbed the boy around the neck, causing slight injuries.

The man was described as white, around 6ft tall, of a muscular build with dark brown or black short hair. He was wearing a black t-shirt with white writing on the front, grey jogging bottoms and trainers.  

He had a Nottingham Forest Tattoo on his left leg, and possibly a second tattoo on the inside of his lip.

The man possibly had a ring on one finger and was carrying a can of beer. He had a brown Staffordshire Bull Terrier with him.

The incident happened on Friday, February 27, and police are urging anyone who has information to contact them on 101, quoting incident number 251 of 28th February 2015.
