SUMMER is just around the corner and one of the UK's best hidden outdoor swimming pools is starting its preparations to help cool down its customers.
The Droitwich Spa Lido has been jet-washed in preparation for the summer season as staff get ready to welcome back its customers for the new season.
Droitwich Spa Lido has been open throughout the winter for its cold-water swims but revealed it will open officially for its summer season on Saturday, May 25.
The last day of the cold water swim will be May 12.
A spokesperson for Droitwich Spa Leisure Centre said: "Our Lido is ready for the summer season.
"Looks as good as new, thanks to M&D JetClean!
"Our Lido will be open for the summer season on Saturday, May 25.
"Also, don't forget you can still enjoy cold water swimming until May 12.
"Come and join us for a refreshing swim!"
The outdoor swimming pool was rated the only attraction in the Midlands to make the national list of the best hidden Lido in the UK.
It was rated as one of the best places to enjoy a swim in relative peace and quiet.
The list is based on an analysis of shared hashtags on social media in the country.
The Lido had 194 on the summer day analysed making it into the top 10 list.
The research was carried out by bath retailer Showers to You and considered all possible variations of the name in the hashtag.
Droitwich Lido boasts a 40-metre pool, wet play area, sun terrace, and Little Al’s café, which serves light refreshments.
The Lido always recommends booking - available two days in advance - through its mobile app.
