FITNESS fanatics can put a spring in their step as a new fitness class with a unique twist launches.

People can sign up to join the Bungee Fitness class at Julie Liggins Fitness in Berry Hill Industrial Estate in Droitwich.

Already fitness fans have been clamouring to get involved with four masterclasses selling out ahead of weekly classes which begin on Wednesday, May 15.

Explaining the new classes, gym owner Julie Liggins said: "Bungee Fitness is a different way to exercise compared to traditional workouts.

"You are fitted into a harness attached to a bungee cord which will create resistance for you to work against.

"The bungee also assists some moves making them easier to perform such as a burpee.

"Bungee-supported training means you can complete a high-intensity workout with no stress on your joints making it low impact, it is much kinder to the knees making squats and lunges much easier.

"Your muscles and balance skills are constantly being challenged too as you run and jump while attached to the bungee. There really is nothing else like it.

"When in a class you will be working through basic moves like squats and lunges, diving to the floor, sprinting, burpees and running and jumping.

"Classes can be interval training based or flow based where you are taught a set of moves then put them into a routine or even weights based which makes bungee training even more challenging."
