IRIS ROSE CHECKETTS (Née HOLTOM) Of Ombersley. Passed away peacefully on August 21st, 2020, aged 73 years. Beloved Wife of Tony, cherished Sister of John, loving Mother of Richard and Amanda, much loved Mother in Law of Joanne and Andrew, adored Grandma of Nicholas, Holly, Jack, Freddie and the late Charlie. Also much loved by Tony's Family, Clare and her Partner Michael, Giles and Stephen and special "Grandma Iris" of Scott and Heather. She will be sadly missed by all her Family and Friends. The Cortege will process through the Village at 10.45 a.m., prior to a private Family Service which will be held at Wyre Forest Crematorium on Friday, September 11th at 11.30 a.m., followed by a Service of Celebration at St Andrew's Church, Ombersley at 12.45 p.m. Unfortunately due to Covid restrictions attendance at Church is restricted to invitation only. At Iris' request, colourful scarves and ties are to be worn please. Family flowers only please, but donations, if desired for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, St Richard's Hospice or St Andrew's Church may be left on the collection plate at the Crematorium, Church or sent to E J Gumery & Son, 68/70 Ombersley Road, Worcester, WR3 7EU.

Hello Tony I am so sorry to learn of Iris’ passing. I think back to out time together as Chair and Secretary of Broadheath Farmers Discussion Group and the support she gave us both, particularly with I.T. and those minutes!
She was a really lovely lady and I can well imagine the huge loss you and your family must be feeling. When I saw you briefly at the Garage a fortnight ago I sensed something was not quite right but I had no idea then of this tragedy unfolding.
Trevor and I send our sincerest sympathies and we are thinking of you and her
