Please except my condolences at this sad time. As an ex WCCC member of the old Engineer's Dept. I have many memories of Nils. We worked together on a number of projects and his skills as a presentational draughtsman were unsurpassed, his patience seemed limitless. On the social side we played any number of skittles games together. He was always interested in my weekend match results in hockey and cricket. I have passed the sad news onto a number of ex colleagues via my role as a ‘lunch coordinator’ of a group of retired colleagues. They have expressed to me their sadness and I hope some may get in touch. We are all aware of his role with Eckington PC and his historical interests. Nils was a kind hearted soul with many virtues. We will all miss him.
