FERGUSON (Née Kemilainen) Helli Kaarina In the year that swallows nested for the first time at her home, Mrs Helli Ferguson (née Kemilainen), our mother, passed Tuesday, 31st August 2021. Having lived and worked in Worcester, she moved to Nailsworth, a lovely, small town but finally, she settled in Seaton, East Devon. Helli was a regular sight in Seaton with her border terrier, Rusti and she engaged with many, whether dog-walkers or not. A truly special lady, our mother was a Karelian Finn, well-travelled, and a woman of spirit and "sisu". Indeed, Helli was unique. As she joins Earl, her husband from Jamaica, she leaves behind two children Elayne and Jeffery, who are privileged, proud and humbled to call her their mother. She also leaves behind two sisters, Liisu Jalkanen and Kaija Kilpelainen. A private service for immediate family was held on Monday, 13th September 2021 at East Devon Crematorium, under the auspices of AJ Wakely & Sons. Donations to Hospiscare, specifically Hospice at Home, Marie Curie and the Royal Devon & Exeter Urgent Care Response Team are welcome.
