AN HR assistant with Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce is celebrating scooping a prestigious award.
Abi Robbins, has been awarded with a CIPD award for Student of the Year (level 5) by Heart of Worcestershire College.
Miss Robbins was nominated by the college for the award based on her attendance, commitment to learning, overall performance and personal development.
She joined the Chamber in 2011 as an apprentice and became the winner of the “Young Apprentice of the Year Centenary Award CIPD" in 2013. She has been a part-time student of Heart of Worcestershire College for three years and is currently studying towards CIPD level 7, whilst continuing to provide support to the HR department in her role at the chamber.
“I studied CIPD level 5 in order to develop my knowledge within human resources whilst gaining a national qualification," she said.
"I thoroughly enjoyed my time on the course, particularly studying employment relations and employment law. This course has provided me with increased confidence when dealing with HR queries and I now feel more effective in my role at the Chamber.”
A spokesman for the college said: “This is something that has been particularly noticeable for Abi, she has grown so much in her ability and aptitude to what is required”.
