Music - Classical & Opera
Quartette Lunoire Concert
Quartette Lunoire use lighting and set design to create a magical atmosphere to accompany their music. The effect is that of a moonlit woodland glade.

Quartette Lunoire is essentially a classical ensemble and comprises: clarinet, violin, cello and double bass. Their music has its roots in many styles.

This programme consists of a piece written by Presteigne composer and violinist John Hymas entitled 'Neck of the Woods' which draws inspiration from many genres of music including jazz and folk.

The second half of the evening will feature John's arrangement of excerpts from the popular Little Threepenny Music by Kurt Weill which has jazz and tango elements and a diverse selection of shorter pieces.

Quartette Lunoire’s repertoire has a contemporary edge and is accessible to a wide audience.

‘A unique and enchanting experience’
