AFTER 6 months of closure, May 17 marked the reopening of many businesses, including Worcester Slimming World groups.

And it’s not just the members who will be glad to get back to real life groups. The Worcester team are excited to return too. After months of having to learn new skills to be able to continue to run their businesses virtually, they are relieved to finally be able to dust down the scales.

Sam Crosswell said: “This has certainly been the toughest of my 20 years as a consultant. Thanks to the support of the company, I’ve been able to continually support my members throughout the pandemic. I’m very excited to be back with them, in the heart of the community.”

The most recent addition to the team, Hannah Jeeves, transferred her franchise from London to Worcester in January and said: “ I’m excited to be meeting Worcester members in person for the first time. It certainly is a strange way to start a business.”

Team developer Nikki Poole, said: “Whilst none of us joined Slimming World to gain a career, between the five of us, we have amassed over 45 years experience in running our own franchise businesses.

“The team come from a variety of backgrounds, including education, PR, accounting, hospitality and design, as well as managing their own families alongside. We are continually supported by the company and ongoing professional development training is provided, to ensure all our members receive exceptional quality of service across all our groups.”

“Slimming World are one of the few companies that have continued to hire throughout the whole pandemic and, although the Worcester team have lost some valued consultants due to changes in their personal circumstances, this has provided exciting local opportunities for new team members to come on board with established groups and expand our team. We regularly hold information Opportunity Events for anyone who is interested, to find out more.”
