WE visited Mr Mulligans in Cheltenham to see what Worcester can expect when the mini-golf venue opens this July.

Excitement is building for the opening of the city's Mr Mulligans on the High Street at the site of the former DW Sports store.

The Mr Mulligans Cheltenham location is found in The Brewery Quarter, that the end of Cheltenham High Street.

Much like the nearby Cathedral Square in Worcester, the Cheltenham branch is surrounded by a variety of trendy bars and restaurants.

The venue features two different courses, a bar, restaurant electro darts, ping pong, pool tables and shuffle boarding.

Explorers' relics and themed props, including dinosaurs and sea creatures, fill the interior.

Like most mini-golf places, you pick up your club from the front desk as well as your golf balls.

There is also the option to buy unique designed golf balls as well as souvenir branded golf visors.

Guests can order cocktails, and a variety of other beverages at the bar, and take the drinks with them as they complete the two courses - a fun addition not usually found at mini-golf venues.

Both courses are 18 holes and feature a wide variety of tricky angles and loops.

The news of the venue coming to Worcester took the city by storm, with residents and visitors eagerly awaiting when they can head for a game.

Like Cheltenham's branch, the Worcester venue will boast an adventure golf course, electro-darts, pool, ping pong and a shuffleboard - along with a bar and restaurant.

Mr Mulligans was handed a late-night alcohol licence by Worcester City Council earlier this year in March.

The new Mr Mulligans in Worcester, which will cater for families, students and adults, would add to the 12 locations already open across the country – including a spot in Birmingham.
