Directions

From Hereford, proceed in a south easterly direction on the B4224 and continue on this road, until you reach Mordiford. Due to a temporary road closure, turn left at Mordiford to Woolhope. Follow this lane for about 2 miles, passing through Haugh Woods and through the common. At the T junction in Woolhope turn right and continue on this lane for a further 2 miles until you reach Fownhope. At the T junction, turn left and proceed through the village before turning left at the butchers shop. Continue on this road, passing the doctors surgery on the left and eventually you will reach a red telephone box and the pump house; here Lavender Cottage is immediately on the left-hand side.
