The Location

One of our favourite parts about this apartment is its location. It sits essentially at the bottom of the vibrant Bermondsey Street with its eclectic mix of independent coffee shops, wine bars, quirky shops, the White Cube Art Gallery and some of the best restaurants in the area. Beyond that, it’s a 15-minute walk to the world-famous Tower Bridge, and a 10-minute walk to London Bridge, The Shard and the world-renowned Borough Market so you are never short of things to do and new places to try! There are two Sainsburys under 2 minutes away in either direction and a beautiful little Italian delicatessen/restaurant a couple of doors down. It is also surrounded by green spaces such as Tanner Street (with tennis courts), Leathermarket Gardens, Tabard Street, Potters Field and Guy Street parks, as well as Southwark and Burgess Park within walking distance. It is also a well-lit street with a number of residential properties, and Simon the Tanner pub nearby, so there is a safe, vibrant, community feel to the area.

The Apartment

This stunning (766 sqft) apartment is well presented and finished to a high standard throughout. The open-plan kitchen is perfect for modern lifestyles and benefits from plenty of storage along with a built-in Dishwasher, Washer/Dryer and Fridge Freezer that are less than 18 months old as well as an inbuilt Oven/Hob. The living room has plenty of natural light like most of the rooms coming from the floor to ceiling windows and is great for spending quality time with friends and family. There are two double bedrooms which both have plenty of space for additional furniture and storage thanks to their built-in wardrobes, including a recently fitted Sharps wardrobe installed to maximise space in the second bedroom. The master bedroom has a modern en-suite and consists of a three-piece suite with a walk-in shower. There is also a modern family bathroom which consists of a three-piece suite with a bath. Both of which have been recently improved due to new tiling and fittings. The couple have had engineered wood flooring fitted throughout, as well as having secondary glazing installed in all 3 rooms to improve warmth and reduce noise from outside, making it cosy and quiet.

The Building & Community

The current owners are moving after the best part of a decade in the property and apartments in this building are hard to come by with very infrequent sales and you can see why. A large % of the apartments are owner-occupied so there is a huge amount of respect for the building and a great sense of community. The building consists of a real mix of families and young professionals so it’s clear it suits most lifestyles and interests. The building itself is very secure with two separate entry gates.

Travel Links

In terms of transport, Borough tube station and London Bridge train/tube stations are both 10 minutes walking distance, with access to the Northern & Jubilee lines, Southern and South Eastern Railway Services. There are excellent bus links in the area, and the Thames Clipper boat station is located just by London Bridge. On top of that, there is a Santander bike station 1 minute on either side of the property and one of London’s new e-scooter docks so you will have no shortage of travel options! It's also a 20/30 minute walk to the City of London, so it's great if you are planning on commuting for work.
