The Cwtch, meaning cuddle in Welsh, is precisely what this cottage does. A Cotswold stone cottage, tucked away from the hustle and bustle but within a few strides of the town centre, a good-size garden and an arrangement for parking.

A quintessentially English cottage, a delightful hidden gem which is within a few strides of the centre of Tetbury but offering those magical elements for a town centre property – a good-size garden and parking by arrangement.

Approached into a hallway with the sitting room to one side has a solid oak floor, a feature fireplace with a wood burning stove, feature panelling on one wall with an under stairs cupboard. The hand painted kitchen – diner has flagstone flooring, a feature fireplace and range of units, an integrated induction stove and double oven. Adjacent is a large utility room with planned space for a washing machine and tumble dryer, storage units and a Belfast sink- an immensely useful room for storing everything out of sight.

Upstairs there is a Master bedroom with a recently refitted en-suite shower room and plenty of eaves storage, the loft above is boarded for additional space. The second bedroom is a double with stairs leading to a mezzanine floor – perfect for a teenage den, study or additional storage. There is also access into the attic from here. The third bedroom can accommodate a double bed but is suitable for a nursery or large single bedroom. The family bathroom has recently been refurbished providing a large room with a bath and overhead shower.

Outside there are borders close to the house and a fully enclosed 150ft garden with storage, a wood shed and a pagoda. There are vegetable beds, fruit trees and a patio area to enjoy the beautiful views.

Parking is by arrangement only, there are two spaces close to the house.

Tetbury, often referred to as the gateway to the Cotswolds, and once voted by Country Life magazine as the third most desirable town in the country, is a thriving historic Cotswold market town situated less than half an hour from both the M4 and M5 motorways and within easy reach of Cirencester, Cheltenham, Bath, Bristol and Swindon. There is good access to Kemble Railway Station with regular Intercity services to London and other regional commercial centres.

Tetbury is well known for its royal houses with HRH The Prince of Wales at Highgrove House, and Gatcombe Park the home of The Princess Royal both close by. Tetbury boasts an exciting range of shops including specialist boutiques, city standard delicatessens, the Highgrove Shop, two supermarkets and many fine antique shops. The town has an excellent variety of hotels, restaurants, cafes and brasseries offering a mouth-watering range of cuisine.

There is an excellent range of schools in the area including Westonbirt Preparatory and Senior Schools (3 – 18 years). There is also Beaudesert Park at Minchinhampton together with popular state primary and secondary schools in and around Tetbury.

A visit to the Tourist Information Office will provide you with a map of the area showing some of our local attractions including the world famous Westonbirt Arboretum, or the nearby Cotswold Water Park or perhaps the Abbey and Abbey House Gardens in Malmesbury.
