BLOCKBUSTER sounds will be heard around Worcestershire when a classical ensemble go on tour.

Fordante begin their six-date tour of the county at The Artrix, in Bromsgrove, on Sunday by performing a mix of music from the movies.

The programme will include Scent of a Woman, The Blue Danube Waltz from 2001: A Space Odyssey, Doctor Zhivago and Schindler's List along with some of their own pieces.

Each performance will feature atmospheric imagery and video created solely for the show and projected behind the performers to further enhance the musical storytelling.

Formed in 2008 by Kidderminster born composer, they have a line-up of violin, viola, cello, oboe and piano/keyboards and were named the Best New Music 2010 Winners at the Buxton Festival fringe.

They will also stop at The Stourport Civic Theatre Hall on Thursday, March 7, Kidderminster’s Rose Theatre on Monday, March 25, Pershore’s Number 8 on Saturday, April 13, The Regal in Tenbury Wells on Saturday, May 4 and St George’s Church, Kidderminster, on Saturday, May 25.
