STOURBRIDGE rockers WEAK13 have been celebrating after winning a best music video award.

The long-running metal band, fronted by Nick J Townsend and featuring Wesley Smith on bass, were nominated for four awards at the Black Country Music Awards and they couldn't have been happier to walk away with the best music video award for Closure which pays tribute to two fans, Michael Hill and Daniel Jones, who tragically passed away.

Directed by WEAK13, with camera work from Fiftysevenstudio, NJT MEDIA and Billy Ghurman, the video was filmed in Birmingham at Tunnel Club - the home of Eddie's Rock Club.

Following the awards ceremony at International Conference and Banqueting in Wolverhampton on June 21, Nick J Townsend said: "Weak13 are truly honoured to have won the award for best music video, we had an incredible team involved in the creation of the Closure music video."

But he added: "We'd like to highlight that the most important part of the entire music video is the last few seconds of it because it's dedicated to two fans and supporters who sadly aren't with us anymore. When we said the "Closure" video is for the fans - we meant it."
