WITH their combination of humour, music and on-stage banter, Take Fat quite literally got Worcester dancing in the aisles last night.

Kicking off the first night of their national XXL Tour at the Swan Theatre, Worcester, these heavyweights of the Worcester music scene didn't disappoint their home crowd.

The scene had been set by the extremely talented warm-up act Damian, who on first glimpse could have been mistaken for a doormen, but turned out to have an incredibly adaptable voice capable of belting out everything from Meat Loaf to the Rolling Stones.

In the second half Gary Lardo, Jason Chocolate Orange, Howard McDonalds, Mark Growin and Blobbie Williams belted out Take That hits including Rule the World, Patience, Relight My Fire,  It Only Takes A minute, and The Flood to name but a few.

The band seemed determined to enjoy themselves and were on a mission to make sure we, the audience, did so too.

Fabulous, flirty and fun, Take Fat interact brilliantly with their audience. Crucially they don't take themselves too seriously and their relaxed banter, and at times outrageous humour ensured everyone had a good giggle as well as a boogie.

A highlight of last night's show was the debut of the band's new original single complete with black and white video shot in Worcester.

Witih its winning combination of humour and great music, I can't imagine anyone not enjoying this act.
