Jersey Boys is one of those rare shows that gets better each time you see it, the second night of its run in Bristol was no exception.

Created out of real life, to tell the story of four ordinary guys who became an extraordinary pop group selling more than 100 million hit records.

In the programme notes Rick Elice who co-wrote Jersey Boys explains that he and Marshall Brickman co-writer never thought they were writing a musical, but writing a play about four guys who wrote music, its about betrayal, crime, punishment, revenge, family and women.

Superbly delivered by the guys we are taken on a journey exploring their trials, tribulations and struggles and how it influenced their music and off stage lives that have never been told before.

Michael Watson (Frankie Valli), Peter Nash (Tommy DeVito), Declan Egan (Bob Gaudio) and Lewis Griffiths (Nick Massi) sure have polished their vocals to perfection to recreate the unmistakeable sound of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons including December 1963 (Oh What A Night), Walk Like A Man, Big Girls Don't Cry, Rag Doll...

Jersey Boys is without doubt one of the best West End shows to tour - the standing ovation for the marvellous cast said it all!

Don't miss the boys from New Jersey - runs until Saturday, 17th November.
