THE "scariest movie of all time" is finally coming to Rhyl.

Despite cinema goers in the 70s having to go to Llandudno or Colwyn Bay, William Friedkin's masterpiece The Exorcist will screen at the Little Theatre's Wicked Cult cinema on Friday, January 31 at 7.30pm.

Famously, the controversial movie was dubbed the scariest of all time by the media, and has been selected as the first in a new series of monthly horror screenings alongside the existing focus on cult films.

A film that surely needs no introduction in 2020, the screening will show the 1973 Theatrical Cut of the film to show the version that audiences went to see when they delved into the unknown back in 1973.

A film that has oft been emulated and never bettered, the film marks the high point for the criminally underrated Friedkin's box office success and boast one of the best ever film scores, courtesy of Mike Oldfield.
