THE illustrious history of the city's Swan Theatre has been documented in a book written by its chief executive.
Chris Jaegar has written The Swan Theatre Worcester - Fifty years of Passion, Optimism, Hard Work and Creativity to mark its 50th anniversary
In it, he has covered a short history of theatre in Worcester, the hard work and graft that went into funding and building the Swan, the history of the last fifty years, an assessment of the present position and a look at the future.
It is full of interesting stories, characters and photographs and is a must for anyone interested in theatre or the history of Worcester.
A book launch will be held on Thursday, January 29 at 8pm where it will go on sale for the first time priced at £9.99.
The launch will be a chance to enjoy a free glass of wine, meet the author and also to get the book signed.
