Mr. Paul Smart was my senior consultant surgeon at the Worcester Royal Infirmary from May 1971 until May 1973.
I was his surgical registrar during this time and with his guidance and advice I managed to get the FRCS 1972.
God bless his soul he never hesitated to train me well.
Since I left the UK in May 1973 until last Christmas 2022, we used to send greetings to one another every Christmas without missing one year.
May God bless his soul and I will miss his Christmas greetings every year
