DROITWICH’S Waitrose store has given a cash boost to three local groups.
Droitwich Arts Network, For Droitwich Spa and the Droitwich Canals Trust will all be given financial support as part of the store’s community matters scheme.
This means the three groups will get a share of £1,000.
Shoppers at Waitrose choose which organisation they would like to support by placing a green token, given to them at the checkout, in one of three labelled boxes at the exit.
The more nominations an organisation gets, the more money it will receive.
Shoppers can also nominate the charitable organisations they would like Waitrose to support by filling in a Waitrose Community Matters leaflet at the welcome desk in store.
