A SMALL fire broke out at a primary school in Worcester tonight.

Firefighters were called to Dines Green Primary School following reports that a light fitting was on fire at just after 4pm.

Three fire engines, an aerial ladder and the station commander were sent to the primary school on Tudor Way.

They were joined by a fourth fire engine an hour later.

Crews used breathing apparatus, two jet reels and one spray jet and the fire was extinguished by 5.12pm.

Firefighters remained at the site to check that the fire had not spread and to carry out an investigation.
