THREE people were taken to hospital following a two car crash in the Cotswolds last night.
A woman in her 50s suffered multiple injuries and was knocked unconscious in the incident which happened at the he junction of Fosse Way and Campden Road in Shipston-on-Stour shortly before 5.30pm.
Ambulance crews and a doctor stablised her condition and worked with the fire service for more than an hour to get her out of the vehicle before she was immobilised with a neck collar and spinal board and taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.
Two occupants from the second car were also injured and taken to the same hospital, with the woman suffering pelvic and back pain The man suffered minor injuries.
Two ambulances, a doctor and a paramedic area support officer were sent to the scene. An off duty paramedic was also in attendance.
