AN Evesham school is preparing to take its robot to the next stage in a national competition.
Evesham High School Robotics Club came a close second when they competed in the Worcestershire VEX Robotics competition hosted by North Bromsgrove High School.
The team including Douglas Toplis, Michael Hanson, Joseph Betts, Christopher Thomas, Thomas Gardiner and Jack Hair started the day with a lot of work to do against fierce competition with some which had narrowly missed out on a place at the World Championships in California last year. They competed against several other teams in the Sack Attack competition and came second in the final by just one point.
The team are now preparing for the regional competition being held on February 27 in Bristol with the final in London in March.
