AN unusual trio playing a curious mix of original songs and awry covers can be caught next week.
The Players, who are Ed Steele-Fox on drums and percussion, Phil Keys on electric bass guitar and lead guitar and Paul Jeffery on acoustic finger-style guitar and vocals, pitch up at Re-con, in Church Street, Great Malvern on Thursday, February 28.
From 9pm they will delve into folk, blues and country, selecting tunes from diverse sources like Donovan and Blind Lemon Jefferson and underpinning them with tracks from Phil’s self-penned songbook.
