A LARGER than life entertainer has started a campaign to get himself into the Celebrity Big Brother house and prove he is a big star.

As a member of Take Fat, Worcester’s Tony James is used to joining four other portly chaps on stage but he thinks his parody alter ego Blobbie Williams has got what it takes to take on so-called celebs in the Big Brother house by himself.

Having won Channel 4’s Come Dine With Me, Blobbie has already shown he can cook up a treat on national television and is seeking support to satisfy his appetite for success.

With the current series of Big Brother well underway on Channel 5, Tony said: “I have probably been on TV more than most the people that seem to get on the celebrity version of the show. If a webcam model can be classed as a celebrity then with the amount of TV, press and magazine exposure I have had surely I too have the credentials to enter the house?

“I could, in more ways than one, possibly be the biggest celeb in the house for some time.”

The campaign has already taken to social media websites, with the hashtag #blobbieforBB allowing users of Twitter to show their backing and the Facebook page allowing people to get involved via facebook.com/getblobbiewilliamsinthecelebritybigbrotherhouse.
