A TELEVISION, laptop and jewellery were taken during a daytime burglary in Stourport yesterday.

Thieves broke in through the rear of the property in Areley Common taking items including the 42 inch Samsung television and also a quantity of alcohol.

They struck between 9.30am and 7pm.

Detective Constable Marc Waring, investigating officer from Kidderminster CID, said: “As this was a daytime burglary it increases the possibility that someone may have seen the offenders.

“If anyone remembers seeing people acting suspiciously or any vehicles parked in unusual circumstances in the area yesterday I would ask them to call us as soon as possible.”

Witnesses or anyone with information about the burglary should contact Det Con Waring at Kidderminster police station on 101, quoting incident 173-N-020713, or ring the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.

As part of the force’s ongoing Citadel initiative aimed at tackling burglary, residents are reminded to report suspicious sightings to the police as soon as possible.

To speak to a local police officer, report less urgent crimes and disorder or for general police enquiries ring 101. In an emergency always call 999.
