PUPILS were plunged into darkness to experience what life was like in Tanzania.
Children and staff at Great Malvern Primary School took part in the Power Off day to see what life is like with no electricity.
The school’s eco-council organised the day to experience what everyday life is like in Tanzania as well as work toward the green flag award.
They spent the day with no computers, lights, printers as well as no electricity in the kitchen.
Year six pupil Chloe Williams said: “It was fun but you couldn’t see much in the mobile classrooms where our class is situated.”
The day ended with the children singing and dancing for visitors from Tanzania without any music or words on the projector for the children to follow.
