HOW technology affects everyday life was explored by students at a Worcester.

About 300 youngsters at Tudor Grange Academy took part in workshops run as part of the Bosch All Around You Roadshow.

The event highlighted how engineering can be used to conserve the world’s resources and explained the origins of one of the city’s biggest employers.

Peter Fouquet, president of Bosch UK, said: “Our All Around You Roadshow is important not only in inspiring the next generation of engineers and problem-solvers, but also to show how engineering affects our lives, every day.

“It is also vital for us to emphasise how many engineering solutions, including those developed by Bosch, are being designed to conserve resources and create a sustainable future – a future that lies ahead of these school children.”

Carl Arntzen, managing director at Worcester Bosch Group, said: “Engineering is such an important part of our business from product development to innovation and quality control.

“There are so many career opportunities within the many engineering sectors, and it is great that roadshows such as this one can help bring the subject to life and really get young people excited and interested in finding out more.”
