SCHOOLCHILDREN have been given a sneak peek of a new playground due to be set up at one of Worcester’s most prominent parks.
Pupils at Stanley Road Primary School were shown designs for proposed new equipment at Fort Royal Park and given a chance to have their say on the plans.
Worcester City Council is investing £220,000 in the park, including setting up innovative new equipment for both older and younger children inspired by the site’s civil war history.
The authority’s cabinet member for communications and engagements, Councillor Lynn Denham, said it was important the council listened to the view of residents about such decisions. “We want the improvements to Fort Royal Park to enable as many people as possible to enjoy this special, historic part of the city,” she said.
