STUDENTS at Christopher Whitehead Language College in Worcester teamed up with a city estate agent for the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
Year 10 food technology students baked cakes which were sold at the event held at Reeds Rains the Estate Agent, in Foregate Street. They raised about £50 for the charity on the day along with more than £4,500 since October last year through a variety of events including bike rides, coffee mornings and mince pie fund-raisers.
James Wilson, branch manager, said: “I lost my father to cancer, it’s a charity very close to our hearts. It went very well, it was a great success. Macmillan always give us good support. We enjoy working with them.”
The estate agent is already planning its next fund-raiser for later this year, a mince pie event and Christmas fair.
