Students from Worcester Sixth Form College have been working hard to raise funds for Worcestershire Breast Unit Campaign.
The students raised more than £300 for the unit by selling cakes and sweets to the college community and holding a raffle with prizes donated by local retailers.
Adele Postins, chairman of charities within the college's student council, said: “We are delighted to be able to support the Worcestershire Breast Unit Campaign.
"Having a dedicated breast care unit for Worcestershire is a cause that many members of the student council feel close to, and we know that most of the college community will be able to relate to the cause in one way or another.
"It will be great to see this unit brought into existence and, hopefully, our fundraising has enabled this vision to be one step closer.
"It was also great to see the awareness of the campaign increase in the college as a result of the charity day.”
The money raised will help provide a dedicated unit and facilities to the 600 people in Worcestershire who are diagnosed with breast cancer every year.
