The flag will fly throughout the month of August as a mark of respect and a gentle daily reminder of the beginning of the Centenary of the First World War. During the same period, the Town Council will fly the Union flag from the Town Hall and the Royal Naval Association will do likewise from Pershore Naval Social Club.

The event takes place at 1.30 p.m. and a Road Closure Order has been obtained on Broad Street from 1.30 - 2.30 p.m.

People are urged to avoid parking in Broad Street during this period as the street will be barricaded off.

Broad Street has always been traditionally used for Military parades over the last 100 years including the 1919 Peace Day parade.  Photographs of this are in local Pershore books and on the new website at http://pershoreww1.webs.com/
