A SPECIAL peal of bells commemorating the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War will be rung on Monday, August 4.
A half muffled peal will be rung as a mark of respect for the Centenary from 12pm and last for about four hours.
The Cathedral's bells were recast in 1928 and first rung on Armistice Day.
One of the bell has the inscription "In memory of the men of Worcestershire who gave their lives in the Great War".
