The Second Battalion left Chauconin at 3am, crossed River Marne at Trilport at 5.45am. Bivouacked at Petit Courais. Fired at German aeroplane and brought it down.
The Third Battalion furnished outpost on line which ran from Station to Champroise Farm.
Worcester City Golf Club have cancelled all inter-club fixtures arranged for the coming season.
Colonel J Livingstone had been appointed to enrol men at his office in the Guildhall. He hoped to raise 500 men for the Old Public School and University Men Corps.
The Fownes Male Voice Choir (under the baton of Mr T Gough) gave a concert at Norton Barracks in order to amuse the men now recruiting there.
A Kindly Act: About a dozen of the 8th Battalion have had to remain on duty at Territorial HQ whilst their companions are undergoing stern training on the east coast. For the first few days they were obliged to sleep on the floor, now thanks to Mr G E Spurr of the Star Hotel, they have an adequate supply of bedsteads, mattresses and blankets. This kindly provision is much appreciated by them;
