IT'S that time of year again when the people you've cheered on — or voted off — one of the world's biggest singing competitions come to Worcester.

This year, Sin on New Street will host X Factor performers before they make their way to Bushwackers on Trinity Street for a meet and greet with fans and a special after party.

Bushwackers owner, Darren Pinches, said he is looking forward to hosting the singers from Monday, October 20 until Monday, December 15.

"The reaction we've had on our social media sites has been immense — there doesn't seem to be anyone people don't want to see on the show this year," he said.

"As the performers are voted off the show on Sunday they will then come to Worcester a week later for a performance at Sin. After that people will be able to meet and party with them and have photographs taken with them in Bushwackers. They should be great nights.

"This year's performers are all very good and there's no one that people really don't like as far as I can tell, and they're all very glamorous. This year we really wanted to be involved with the show seeing as Simon and Cheryl are back in on it too. It should be a lot of fun."

People can pay £3 entry in to Sin to see the performance, which then gives free entrance in to Bushwackers afterwards.

For the last five years, the singers have performed in Tramps Nightclub following the vote-offs.

Jamie Blyth, online marketer for Tramps, said: "We decided not to go for it this year as, over the last few years, it hasn't brought in enough people to make it financially viable for us. I think this is down to a large proportion of our customers being students and a lot of students don't have televisions, so they don't watch the show. I don't think we're looking to be involved with it anymore."

Twelve finalists have made it through to the X Factor's live shows, which begin this Saturday, October 11 at 7.30pm on ITV.

The first act will be voted out on Sunday and will appear at Sin on Monday, October 10.
