MISS Worcestershire finalist, Ellie Jones, baked up a perfect plan when it came to raising funds for charity.
The student of Worcester Sixth Form College knew just what to do when, as part of her duties as a finalist, she was asked to raise £165 for Beauty With A Purpose for Children's Charities in Worcestershire,
Firstly, she gained sponsorship to the tune of £110 from local businesses, the Platinum Property Agents of Malvern Link and the Car Refurb Centre of The Butts, Worcester.
And then she asked her college and friends to help out with a cake bake and sale, which took place on Wednesday, October 15, and the event just raised enough to exceed her target total.
Miss Jones, a cheerleader with the Worcester Wolves Basketball Club, said: "I got involved with the Miss Worcestershire competition because I do like to get involved with the community."
She said of the cake sale, which took place at her college: "My thanks must go to everyone involved, with everyone working together to make the cakes, including staff at the college.
"I don't know what I would have done without them."
The Miss Worcestershire Final takes place at The Guildhall, on November 2.
Beauty with a Purpose is registered charity and a non-profit organisation associated with the Miss World organisation.
It raises money and participates in humanitarian projects across the world and in the UK.
