STAFF at the Tesco store in Warndon are appealing for donations of Easter eggs.

The chocolate treats will be distributed to ill children and young people at Worcestershire Royal Hospital's riverbank ward on Good Friday.

About 130 eggs have already been handed in at the supermarket's collection point by kind-hearted customers.

Suzy Roberts, store community champion, said: "The public have got behind the campaign really well and we have collected a record number of Easter eggs so far.

"Last year when we took the treats to children at the hospital it was wonderful to see the looks on their faces."

Tesco employees will dress up as Easter bunnies to present the chocolates to the children.

To donate to the initiative simply drop off an Easter egg at the collection point at the front of the store in Mill Wood Drive.
