AN osteoporosis screening day at a Worcester fitness club will give visitors the chance to find out whether they are at future risk from the brittle bone disease.
Simply Women Fitness and Beauty in Henwick Road, St John's, Worcester, will hold the event on Tuesday, March 13, and Wednesday, March 14, as part of its osteoporosis awareness programme.
The screening day, open to both members and non-members of the club, involves visitors having a scan of their heel taken which can identify if they are at risk and provide information, support and reassurance. Lesley Rowberry, owner of the gym, said: "The screening test is quick, simple and painless to perform and results are immediate."
