ARTISTIC youngsters from a Worcester primary school have created pieces of work based on life in the year 2075 to place in a time capsule.

Children from St Clement’s CofE Primary let their imaginations run wild to draw their futuristic creations, which have been put in a pod on the site of a new care home in St John's.

Nine-year-olds Ruby McCammon and Leif Johnson and 10-year-old Ben Portlock visited Juniper House Residential and Nursing Home in Oak View Way with the array of artwork created by their classmates.

This included pieces showing flying cars and fast food outlets serving health food.

Ben described his vision of the future: "I think there will be jet propelled wheelchairs and cars that look like spaceships.

"I also think there will be a cure for Ebola and cancer."

Teaching assistant Jo Wells said the children had enjoyed taking part in the project, returning to the site to mark the opening of the show suite with the time capsule burial.

She said: "They have been letting their imaginations run wild.

"They are very excited about the thought that their work will be buried in a time capsule."
